Mobile phone ringtones are sounds emanating from handsets to indicate incoming calls. Another important factor in this context is the personal choice of the phone user. More often than not, users prefer to exhibit certain facets of their personality using the different versions of ringtones that are available such as real ringtones, true ringtones, polyphonic ringtones and mp3 ringtones.
However, sometimes the playing of certain customized ringtones is not appropriate in certain places and in front of total strangers. Many mobile phone users also do not want their mobiles to sound like a radio! Consequently, in their quest for “good ringtones,” many users are switching to simple tunes in monophonic ringtones and polyphonic ringtones in recent times. We can conclude this discourse by stating the fact the appeal of a ringtone depends on several factors which include the compatibility of the downloaded ringtones with the handsets, the simplicity of the tunes and the capability of the ringtones to cater to the evolving needs and requirements of mobile phone users.
